The best way to lose weight is to learn to eat healthy. Here are some tips on diet and nutrition to put into practice.
Lose weight eating, without making too many sacrifices, is it possible? Of course yes, just choose healthy food ! Obviously, if there are particular pathologies or you suffer from obesity, it is necessary to follow an ad hoc diet, under medical advice.
If, on the other hand, you just want to lose a few extra pounds or avoid gaining weight, a healthy and balanced diet is the ideal solution. Let’s see how to eat healthy to lose weight.
What to eat to lose weight
First of all, it is important to eat five meals a day , including three main meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and two snacks (mid-morning and mid-afternoon. Junk food must be banned from your diet, such as ready-made and preserved dishes, sweets, snacks and fries.
Carbohydrates should be reduced : eat them only for breakfast and lunch, preferring cereals, pasta and brown rice to refined ones. For example, for breakfast you can eat a couple of wholemeal rusks with a cup of skim milk or a jar of light white yogurt, or even whole grains.
Never eat pasta (or rice), potatoes and bread in the same meal, as they are all sources of carbohydrates . Also try to reduce the portions of pasta.
As for proteins , red meat should be consumed sparingly, better to opt for white meat , such as chicken and turkey, blue fish, eggs, legumes and light dairy products . The fats to be eliminated are all those of animal origin (butter, lard, lard), but also palm oil and hydrogenated fats. For seasoning and cooking, always use extra virgin olive oil.
Do not forget to eat many foods rich in fiber, vitamins and minerals , such as legumes, fruit and vegetables. Between meals, avoid eating packaged snacks or snacks, preferably a fruit in season or a handful of unsalted or unsweetened dried fruit, rich in essential fatty acids omega-3 and omega-6.
