With this in mind, the creative director Chanel Virginie Viard , decided to amaze everyone with a jacket with pockets that depicted by imitating the exterior of the 19 M center, designed by architect Rudy Ricciotti who chose white steel strips as a predominant decorative element. to recall the thread, the key and primordial element of the birth of a garment. But there is also space for clothes that are created with the intention of enhancing the qualities of the maison housed within the center, as many as 600 between artisans and talents.
Among the trends to steal the cardigans, trousers and coats in aubergine, plum and purple , and the Byzantine-style jewelry, bjoux inspo also in view of the New Year, but also the great return of pewter and gold brooches in the shape of the head of lion, to be combined with mini spherical bags and maxi bracelets . Tweed, a must, is presented on revisited suits and embellished with metallic threads.

Inaugurated in October, the 19 M center is a five-storey triangular building built in the north-east of Paris, at the Aubervilles Gate, which gathers Chanel’s artisan houses inside, gathering the best of French workers: lace companies, producers of feathers, but also of footwear and glove fabrics. A melting pot of companies specialized in luxury pret a porter , which for Virginie Viard is a real fashion edition dream machine, and which she wanted to tell in a more urban context with a special fashion show.
“We wanted to showcase the skills of the big brands on the 19 M, but with a more urban touch. I love this place. I love coming here regularly. It’s a bit like visiting friends in college, like going to college, ” explained creative director Chanel.
