According to a recent study, loneliness is responsible of many mental disorders: people who live alone are more likely to suffer from them!

Loneliness hurts our mental health, especially for people living on their own. Moreover, the low wedding rates increase the risk of suffering from mental disorders. This is what a recent research proved.

Human beings are not made to live alone. As for every mammal, we should be living in group: that is, in a family or with a partner. According to the French and Spanish experts, living alone is dangerous for our mind. Let’s find out together everything about this new study!

Loneliness is dangerous for your mental health!

Regardless of age and sex, researchers showed that living alone hurts our mental wellness. Experts of the Versailles University in Sant-Quentin-en-Yvelines and of the University of Barcelona proved that this phenomenon is increasing. This happens because infertility and aging increase, while the wedding rates decrease.

The study is on the scientific journal Plus One and involved 20.500 people between 16 and 64 years old. In the last few years, mental disorders have increased for people living on their own. Among the most common problems, there are anxiety, stress and panic attacks. There are also more serious diseases, like depression.

In order to avoid these problems, we suggest to go out more, meeting with friends, do sports, yoga, outdoor walks and much more. However, some people can live very well alone and do not feel the need to share their house with anybody else.
