How to caramelize fruit

  1. The first step is to clean the chosen fruit . If you decide to caramelize it whole or opt for varieties of fruit with edible peel, be sure to wash it thoroughly under running water.
  2. Then dry it with kitchen paper.
  3. Cut the fruit into slices that are not too thick (about 1 cm) and, if you like, skewer them on skewers . This will make it easier to maneuver.
  4. Now that the fruit is ready, let’s see how to prepare the caramel. Put the sugar , butter , cream and agave syrup in a saucepan and melt the sugar.
  5. From the moment of boiling, then calculate about ten minutes of cooking. This is the time it takes to obtain an amber caramel.

  7. Serve once cold .
