Chores during pregnancy: what you need to pay attention to

You are waiting and you do not know what to do with your chores? Here is a list of simple rules in order to avoid any trouble for your baby!
They keep saying pregnancy is not an illness and that, when there are no complications, we can go on with our daily activities. Actually, you should take some precautions in order to avoid small and big health problems, both for us and for our baby. For example, what about chores during pregnancy?
Chores during pregnancy: what to do
You have recently found out you are pregnant, and you are probably excited from the news. At the same time, you are tired and you just don’t want to do your chores. Unfortunately, we need to do something at least, and not everyone can have a housekeeper. First rule: do not hesitate in delegating when you can – the future dad can do the same stuff you do at home!
Be careful when you do the chores in the first trimester. It is the most delicate moment, because there is a higher risk of miscarriage. Therefore, avoid any unnecessary effort and all those situations that can be dangerous, such as cleaning the windows or the lamps. Instead, you can start preparing from the birth and postpone some of the harder task after the baby is born.
Cleaning the bathroom during pregnancy

According to some sources on the Internet, cleaning the bathroom and washing the floors when you are pregnant can be even more dangerous. Actually, there are no particular side effects, as long as you follow some rules. Use natural products, avoid uncomfortable positions and rest when you need it.
What you need to pay attention to
Another important detail you need to pay attention to is the products you use. Some of them contain chemicals that, if breathed, can damage the fetus. Other products, instead, can create skin problems to the mother, because during pregnancy the skin is more delicate. Always wear gloves when you are doing your chores and, if you use chemicals, do not forget a mask!
Generally speaking, it is better to use natural detergents or common substances, such as vinegar or baking soda. Another thing you need to avoid when you are pregnant is cleaning with alcohol. In any case, it does not matter the product you use: always remember to ventilate the room in order to avoid risks.
Of course, what we have said so far matters for a normal pregnancy. If you have problems – placental abruption, risk of miscarriage or any other condition that requires resting – it is important to follow your doctor’s advice when it comes to chores.
