A coffee body scrub is an effective old remedy to fight cellulite. Let’s see how to make it and use it.

Even if you can buy a lot of anti-cellulite scrubs to make the skin smooth and fight water retention, there is nothing better than exfoliating at home with coffee. This product has draining properties and, together with salt and oil used in the recipe, it makes the skin soft and elastic. Let’s see how to prepare the coffee body scrub and use it in the shower!

The ingredients of this beauty product are cheap and easy to find. All you need is:

– 6 tablespoons of coffee powder (or coffee grounds),

– 6 tablespoons of sea salt (or brown sugar, if you have delicate skin),

– 12 tablespoons of olive oil (or 6 tablespoons of olive oil, and 6 of almond oil).

In order to prepare the scrub, you only need to mix all the ingredients in a jar, until you get a homogeneous cream. At this point, if you have used the coffee powder, you can store it in a cool, dry place. Instead, if you have used the coffee grounds, you need to finish it within a couple of days, because the water they contain might make them go bad.

How to use the coffee body scrub

The anti-cellulite coffee scrub should be used regularly to fight this problem, at least a couple of times a week. Apply it on wet skin while showering, after having washed off your usual shower gel.

Take the scrub with dry hands or with a spoon, in order to prevent water from entering in the jar.

Then, apply the product on the skin and massage it with circular movements, from the ankles to the buttocks. Let the coffee sit for a few minutes, then rinse thoroughly. You will see that you don’t need any body lotion, because the oil will leave your skin soft.
