Especially during winter, when temperatures are low, your hands can freeze. One of the causes might be a poor blood flow, due to an incorrect diet or a sedentary lifestyle. Even anxiety and irritability can contribute to this problem, because they accelerate the heartbeat and make the oxygen concentrate in the central part of the body. An incorrect diet, instead, can cause bad digestion, which can reduce the blood pression.
Cold hands: causes
Unfortunately, cold hands might be a symptom for a more serious disease. Among them, there is the Raynaud’s syndrome, which especially affects women from 25 to 45 years old, hypothyroidism or anemia. If you suffer from one of these diseases, you should see a doctor to understand the best way to treat it.
If, instead, you just suffer from poor blood flow, here are some natural remedies!
Remedies against cold hands
If the temperature is quite low, before going out wear warm clothes, and don’t forget to protect your hands with wool gloves!
Aloe vera. Apply aloe vera gel on your hands at least twice a day. This product is rich in mineral salts, vitamins and antioxidants, which promote blood circulation.
Lingonberry. Make a herbal tea, perfect to warm and promote your blood flow. Take 20 grams of lingoberry leaves and leave them in a cup of boiling water for at least 15 minutes.
Ginger. This food is perfect to fight cold hands. Try the ginger herbal tea!
Iron and vitamin C. If you suffer from anemia, you need to include in your diet food rich in this two elements.
Workout. Even in summer, you should always exercise regularly, in order to keep fit and to stimulate your blood flow. It is useful even against cold feet.
Remember not to put your cold hands in hot water, or you can cause chilblains!
