The word comedogenesis, as already mentioned, means “appearance of blackheads”. It is a process that is encountered due to the excess presence of sebocytes , the sebaceous glands present throughout the body but with greater prevalence on the face and even more so in the famous T-zone (forehead, nose and chin).

This process can take place for hormonal reasons, due to pollution and also due to poor skin transpiration that can occur when you apply a product that tends to clog the pores and which in this case is defined as comedogenic. A term that therefore indicates the presence of ingredients such as waxes, oils or heavy fats that can cover the skin to the point of leading to the appearance of blackheads.

Why it is important to choose non-comedogenic products

It is therefore easy to understand that understanding the meaning of comedogenic but even more of non-comedogenic is very important for the well-being of the skin. In fact, by choosing a cream with non-comedogenic ingredients, you have a much better chance of keeping the skin healthy. To do this it is good to know the so-called comedogens which are:

– Heavy oils
– The fats
– The liquid paraffin
– Vaseline
– Isopropyl
– The silicones
– The waxes

Going to those who, on the other hand, seem to be able to make the skin breathe there are:

– Shea butter
– Rice oil
– Sunflower oil
– Corn oil
– Grapeseed oil

By learning to read the ingredients of the cosmetic products that you usually apply on the face, you can avoid the formation of blackheads, which can still be treated with natural remedies , opting for those that contain light substances and therefore able to improve the skin without interfering. with its natural transpiration.
