If you often use your microwave, you cannot forget to clean it. You do not need to do it every day, but at least once a week. Of course, if you rarely use it you just need to refresh it every now and then with water and lemon. However, not everyone knows how to clena this device and, as a consequence, they tend to push back this task.

You can buy a lot of good products, but they are expensive and contain chemicals. The best thing to do is to use natural and eco-friendly products, just like the well known lemon and vinegar. let’s see how to degrease and make shiny again the surfaces of your microwave just by using natural products!

The best cleaning hacks

Very often, on the walls and the tray there can be food residues that can smell. An amazing natural way to get rid of this problem is lemon juice. Mix the juice of half a lemon with 100ml of lukewarm water, then use it to clean the surfaces. Your microwave will look as good as new!

Another eco-friendly product is vinegar, that is very effective. In order to obtain the best result, boil 100ml of vinegar in 200ml of water. Let cool down and wait until lukewarm before using it. The result? Your surface will be shiny and clean! At the beginning, you will smell a strong scent of vinegar, but it will disappear in a couple of hours. If it really bothers you, try with lemon.

Baking soda has a powerful and amazing action to clean and degrease your microwave. Soak the tray and the grill in a mix of water and baking soda, and add some drops of tea tree oil. This product has amazing disinfectant and anti-bacterial properties, which are perfect for the hygiene of your kitchen. Let the mix act for 30 minutes, then rinse.

Instead, for what concerns the inside parts, prepare a mix of 50ml of water, two tablespoons of baking soda and 10 drops of tea tree oil. Stir well and rub it where necessary. If you want to keep your microwave always clean, pour in a bowl a glass of water and half a glass of vinegar. Put it in the microwave and let it stay for 5 minutes at the highest temperature. The steam will hygienize and clean it. The last thing to do is just wipe the surfaces with a damp cloth.
