1 liter in the morning, approximately from 8:30 to 12:30;
1 liter in the afternoon, from 14:30 to 20:30.
After 20:30 it is better not to drink, unless you feel the need, because the urge to urinate would disturb sleep.
It is also not advisable to drink more than 2 liters of water per day, because the sodium levels in the blood would become too low, causing a real water intoxication .
Can you drink water with meals?
Drinking with meals is not only allowed, but also recommended by doctors: a sip between courses helps to better fluidize gastric juices and facilitates digestion. Obviously, you shouldn’t overdo it, because too much water could swell the stomach.
Both during meals and throughout the day, you need to learn how to dose the quantities of water well: drinking half a liter of water in one breath has no benefit, because the fluids would immediately end up in the bladder, where they would be eliminated by urinating . To hydrate the body and get rid of toxins, the water should be drunk in small sips throughout the day.
