Drinking water to eliminate bloating: the rules to deflate your stomach

Water is fundamental to hydrate our body, detoxify from toxins and reduce swellings. Et’s how much we should drink.

In order to get rid of abdominal bloating, being on a diet and workout are not enough. It is also important to drink enough water during the day. Other than hydrating our body, it also helps us detoxify from toxins.

Be careful: drinking too much water is not good, as is drinking it in the wrong way. Let’s see the rules to follow.

How much water to drink every day

The best way to start you day and purify your body is drinking lemon water as soon as you wake up, better if it is lukewarm. In order to make it even more effective, you should wait 15-20 minutes before having breakfast.

During the day, you should drink at least 2 liters of water, in this way: 1 liter in the morning, between 8.30 and 12.30 and 1 liter in the evening, between 14.30 and 20.30. After this hour it is better to avoid drinking unless you really need it, because you might wake up at night to pee.

Drinking more than 2 liters of water a day is not recommended, because blood sodium levels could lower too much, causing an actual poisoning.

Can you drink water during your meals?

Drinking during your meals not only is allowed, but it is also recommended by doctors. A sip between one course and the other helps fludifying your gastric juices and improves your digestion. Obviously, you should not overdo with it, because too much water can bloat your stomach.

Both during meals and during the day, you should learn to dose how much you drink. Drinking half a liter of water all in one go does no good, because the liquids will quickly end up in your bladder and eliminated with urination. In order to hydrate your body and get rid of toxins, you should sip it throughout your day.
