Everything you need to know about manicure: tips, prices, and how to do it at home in a few simple steps to have flawless hands and nails.
Manicure is a special treatment for the wellbeing of our hands and for having beautiful nails. Do you really know everything about manicure? Let’s find out!
Manicure: prices and useful information
Manicure is a cosmetic treatment you should regularly do, in order to always have well-groomed and beautiful hands and nails. This treatment takes care not only of your nails, but also of your hands, softening them with relaxing products. Instead, therapeutic manicure deals with specific hand problems, not linked to any pathology requiring medical intervention.
We are talking about an actual service to improve our health and our beauty. How much is a manicure? It depends on the type you want. For example, in Italy a French manicure costs about 15 euros, but nail enhancement can cost 70 euros. Find the nearest beauty center and compare prices and service quality.
How to do at-home manicure: useful tools
Having well-groomed hands is very important for us women, but we do not always have time (and money) to go to the nail specialist. Luckily, if your nails do not have big problems, you can do a perfect manicure at home.
You just need the right products, practice and time for yourself. Let’s learn how to do your nails at home in just a few simple steps.
First of all, for a DIY manicure you need some tools and products:
– an emery board file.
– a cuticle pusher.
– cuticle oil.
– nail primer.
– colored nail polish.
– top coat nail polish.
– a moisturizing hand cream.
How to do at-home manicure
First of all, remove the old nail polish and clean your nails. Once done, soften your cuticles using a specific oil and push them back with the tool, without cutting them off.
If necessary, shorten your nails or file them into the shape you want. Be careful: file in one direction only to prevent tearing your nails.
Put the primer to avoid your nails to spot or turn yellow. If you have brittle nails, you should choose a base to strengthen them.
Once the primer dries, apply a first coat of colored nail polish and let it dry. If necessary, apply a second coat.
When the nail polish dries, apply the top coat to protect the color and prevent chippings. To speed up the drying process, you can soak your fingers in cold water for a few seconds.
Finish your manicure by gently massaging your hands with a good moisturizing cream, and remember: to make nail polish last longer, always wear rubber gloves when you do housework!
