The best remedy to combat oily skin and pimples is a DIY face mask. But what are the best DIY recipes ? There are many to try, all very simple to prepare and based on natural ingredients, such as honey, clay and lemon. Let’s see which are the most effective!
Homemade face masks: the 3 recipes for oily skin

• Green or white clay mask . Green clay is suitable for those with really oily skin, with pimples and blackheads, while white clay is perfect for those with mixed skin, with a few pimples, but sensitive. Preparing it is very simple : put a spoonful of clay, two spoons of water and two drops of tea tree essential oil in a bowl. Mix well until a soft cream is obtained, adding more water if necessary. Then apply the mask on the face, avoiding the eye area and lips, leave it on for about 20 minutes and, as soon as it starts to dry, rinse your face thoroughly.
• Honey and lemon face mask . It is an excellent mask, especially in the presence of pimples and spots, because honey is a powerful natural antibiotic and lemon lightens discolourations . Mix two tablespoons of honey and two tablespoons of lemon juice, apply the mask on the face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes.
• Face mask for blackheads . Of this type, the one based on strawberries and yogurt is very effective. Strawberries cleanse the skin deeply, while yogurt regulates sebum production. To prepare it, mash four ripe strawberries in a bowl, add a spoonful of white yogurt and mix everything until a smooth and homogeneous mixture is obtained (you can also use the blender). Leave the mask on the face for 10-15 minutes and then rinse.
