Millennials and Gen Z the most active consumers. More and more consumers are approaching green cosmetics, preferring creams, make-up and beauty products capable of reducing the environmental impact.
Nowadays, more and more attention is paid to issues such as ecology and sustainability. More and more consumers are approaching green cosmetics, preferring creams, make-up and beauty products capable of reducing environmental impact and pollution: a business that is already worth over 50 billion euros globally and is growing by 10 %.
For this reason Nive a has decided to create the infographic “ Natural, transparent and sustainable cosmetics: a buying guide ”, deepening the preferences of eco-consumers and the characteristics of these new products.
Green cosmetics in Italy
In Italy this segment has exceeded one billion euros in value and the most active consumers are Millennials and Generation Z. 37% are looking for products with eco-friendly packaging, so much so that 41% avoid using plastic, 42% are willing to pay more for an ecological product and 44% want to know if what they buy has been produced in an ethical way.
However, not all products are the same, it is necessary to distinguish between natural ingredients and of natural origin: both come from the vegetable, mineral or animal kingdom but if the former are transformed through chemical processes, those of natural origin are obtained through enzymatic and microbiological methods.
At the same time, finally, not all substances are suitable for various skin types: for example, for normal skin it is necessary to prefer ingredients such as olive oil and aloe vera, honey and royal jelly are perfect for dry skin, while green tea, sage and rosemary are ideal for oily skin prone to blackheads.
These and other useful information on natural cosmetics are reported in the infographic created by Nivea, which in addition to deepening the various natural substances, lists the various sustainable packaging on the market today.
