Homemade dry shampoo: how to have perfect hair in a short time

Do you need clean hair in a very short time but you can not use water? DIY dry shampoo will come in handy!

Hair is quite a dilemma, especially for women. Taking care of it is a fundamental part of beauty routine and it can not look messy or dirty! People with greasy hair above all tend to wash it every day, but they can not always have a quick shampoo. As a last resort, there is a wonderful alternative to washings that can be considered a great ally: dry shampoo! You do not need to wash it and it takes few minutes to make it: here’s how to make DIY dry shampoo!

Homemade dry shampoo

You do not need water, you just need to apply it directly on your dirty hair. In this way, you will have clean hair throughout the entire day. It absorbs the excess of sebum thanks to its powders, which will also give volume to your hair. Here’s how to prepare it at home!

If you do not want to use all the ingredients, you can just choose baby powder. Gently dab a small quantity of it on your roots, in order to cleanse your head. But do not to abuse it: this product might peel your skin and increase dandruff production. Moreover, it is not recommended if you have heavy hair. That is why you need to use it occasionally.

Another hair ally is baking soda: you can make your homemade dry shampoo with 25 grams of this product, 50 grams of starch, 50 grams of rice flour and 4 drops of coconut oil. The procedure is very simple: pour the starch in a sterilized glass jar and mix it with the flour and the baking soda. Once you have a homogeneous mixture, add the coconut oil and continue to stir. Then, pour the product on your hair.

Dry shampoo can be also made by mixing baby powder with a few drops of lavender essential oil or lemon juice. Mix the two ingredients and, once it becomes dusty, store it in a jar.
