Seasonal fruit August

We all know that fruit is one of the healthiest foods, but as with all things, don’t overdo it. So let’s find out what are the calories of fruit.

Knowing the calories of fruit can be very important, not just for the diet. In fact, since fruit is a very sugary food, exceeding it could expose the body to problems and even serious diseases. So let’s find out what are the calories of fruit so as to follow a correct diet.

The most caloric fruit

Fruit is one of the most useful foods for the body for its nutrients, but knowing the calories of fruit can be a very important practice. In fact, knowing what the caloric intake of these foods is is essential, not only to keep the figure, but also to avoid the onset of diseases .

Overdoing it is never advisable, even if it’s fruit. In any case, among the most caloric fruit we can find coconut, dates and avocados. These varieties in fact far exceed 100 calories per 100 grams of fruit. Of course, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t eat these foods, but it’s simply best to do it in moderation.

Specifically, the avocado is perhaps the type of fruit with the most calories, nevertheless it is good thanks to fats and phytosterols , essential for heart health. As for coconut, not to overdo it, you can also consume coconut water which tastes the same, but has far fewer calories. Dates, on the other hand, are more caloric if eaten dry, but thanks to their satiating power, they usually consume few.

To keep the line, it would also be better to pay attention to the amount of sugar. In particular, one should not overdo the consumption of bananas, grapes, cherries, persimmons and mangoes. Bananas, for example, are famous for their high potassium content, but at the same time they contain a lot of calories. It would therefore be better to eat them in the morning and in general not to overdo it because they could cause problems.

Grapes, on the other hand, are thirst-quenching and very energetic, and are excellent for those who practice sports, but better to avoid them if you suffer from diabetes. Finally, mangoes, cherries and persimmons are very high in sugar, so it’s best to avoid them if you fear glycemic peaks. However persimmons are known for their vitamin C and beta carotene content.

The calories of dried and candied fruit

Finally we come to the calories of dried fruit, for which it is necessary to make a separate discussion. Foods such as walnuts, almonds, cashews or pistachios contain little sugar but, at the same time, are rich in fatty acids and lipids . For this reason they have particular nutritional values that give dried fruit protective properties for diabetes and cholesterol.

In any case, however, it is always better to consume these foods in moderation, thus avoiding excess calories. The same goes for candied or dehydrated fruit which, being refined, is extremely caloric.
