How to polish marble and eliminate all traces of dirt and grease using natural and delicate products effective from the first pass.
With completely natural and low cost products you can clean, degrease and polish any marble surface you have at home. You can clean the marble of the worktop or floor with very little effort and make them shine again as if they were new thanks to prodigious products such as vinegar and baking soda.
Here’s how to clean stained marble with natural products and make it shine again!
Bicarbonate for a clean and shiny marble
One of the most used remedies for cleaning marble has always been bicarbonate . This product has a powerful degreasing and polishing action and can be used to remove dirt from almost any surface in the house. However, it must not be abused, otherwise you risk corrode the marble and cause it to lose its luster, obtaining the opposite effect.
To make the most of it and get amazing results, add two tablespoons of baking soda to two tablespoons of alcohol and a liter of boiling water. Mix all the ingredients and pour a few drops on a microfiber cloth. Rub vigorously and all grease stains will go away; in addition, the plate will shine again as if it were new.
The bicarbonate and lemon mixture is extraordinary to say the least. Squeeze half a lemon and add a tablespoon of baking soda. With a soft sponge rub the mixture on the marble and let it act for about ten minutes. Then dip a cloth in sparkling water and with circular movements rub with circular movements until all residue is eliminated.
How to clean yellowed white marble?
To remove grease stains from white marble and make it shine again, try potato starch. Sprinkle a little on the surface to be treated and let it act for a couple of minutes. The starch will slowly absorb the grease and it will be easier to wash.
A great natural remedy perfect for delicate surfaces is milk . You can use it alone, or dilute it with alcohol. If used hot it is ideal for white marble , as it helps to dissolve dirt and grease. Also try diluting one part of milk with two parts of alcohol or distilled water. Dip a microfiber cloth in the milk and gently rub the surface. Little by little you will be able to remove dirt and grease stains .
