Thanks to hypnobirthing, the new mothers can try to give birth in a relaxed way. It might seem weird, but it is possible. Even the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has chosen this technique to give birth to her first child.
These method allows the mother-to-be to relax and feel less pain during labor. However, the benefits last even after the birth. Thanks to this technique, moms will feel less anxious and won’t feel the need to take medications. Let’s find out more!
Hypnobirthing: what is it?
Women who choose this technique want a fearless and positive birth. It is a method that allows the mother-to-be to be fully conscious and aware of what she’s going through. She is not hypnotized, as the term could suggest.
Thanks to deep breathing, visualization and meditation techniques, the mother manages to detach her mind from the pain she is experiencing in that moment. The practice starts long before the due date, in order to get there fully relaxed and ready.
It seems that duchess Meghan Markle has chosen hyonobirthing for the birth of her first baby, other than acupunture, in order to relax and improve her blood circulation. Vanity Fair America said:
“Meghan wants a natural birth. Her mom’s olistic teachings and her yoga practising are part of her and of her idea of giving birth.“
Hypnobirthing also helps relieving insomnia during pregnancy and restoring the psychophysic and mental balance. Even Meghan’s sister-in-law, Kate, chose this method to give birth to Louis, and it seems it worked well! She actually left the hospital a few hours after the baby as born, looking fabulous.
