The particles present in the dust of our house lead to the accumulation of fat in the body: a problem that would lead to overweight even in children – and not only in adults.


Scientists examined the effect of household dust, concluding that they are responsible for the accumulation of triglycerides , the fats present in the blood. This in addition to leading to overweight could also lead to childhood obesity (and of all family members).

Numerous dust samples were collected in the study and the results were surprising: even in small quantities, substances that make us fat develop. The big problem, which emerged from the study, is that these are substances that are present everywhere, in the paints of toys , up to detergents . For this reason, in fact, it is not enough to clean the house thoroughly , as we could still be surrounded by it.

How to remedy the problem? Experts suggest continuing with the healthy habits of good home cleaning . So it’s important to open the windows every day to change the air and vacuum daily. They also recommend doing a thorough cleaning at least once a week. This could reduce the risk of suffering from overweight and obesity .
