Italy is the first country of world luxury: Made in Italy resists the pandemic

In the top 100 luxury and fashion, Italy ranks with 26 companies that close the year with a positive balance despite the difficult economic period.
We are approaching the end of the year, and if more and more companies begin to take stock at the end of the summer months par excellence, starting from September, the end of the year is always the topical moment during which to draw all the sums of a year spent between goals, successes, failures and prospects for the future. This ritual also touches the Italian fashion sector , which overall, despite a pandemic that is still making itself felt, closes the year with a positive balance .
Italy dominates the top 100 of luxury companies according to the Deloitte study
According to the annual study by Deloitte , the Global Powers of Luxury Goods , which examines and draws up the ranking of the 100 Top Players in the Fashion & Luxury sector globally based on 2020 sales, Italy can close the year satisfactorily , probably with a positive estimate that seemed to be unexpected given the shadow of the pandemic they are still dealing with.

The secret now seems to be the guarantee and the quality enjoyed by Made in Italy : in fact, Italy enters the leading countries of the luxury sector , thanks to the 26 companies that dominate the top 100 of the Deloitte ranking , also presenting new entries among which Golden Goose, Morellato, Sportswear Company, Pinko and Damiani, returned to the rankings.
If we also consider the awards received by Elisabetta Franchi as Entrepreneur of the Year for EY, the innovator award to Alessandro Michele at the very recent London fashion awards, and the Cavaliere al Merito della Repubblica awards to Giorgio Armani, we can say that in addition to statistics, the charisma, the intuitions and the significant and constant commitment of those who work in the sector are also rewarded, allowing us to close with the slogan italians do it better with a certain pride.
The Deloitte Top 10 Luxury Player rankings: the protagonists who dominate the rankings
Focusing on the Top 10, there are some news and confirmations compared to last year: in this slice of the ranking only one company is among the top ten and it is EssiloLuxottica with its seventh place. The rest of the companies are in fact French, with Hermès entering ninth place for the first time, while for the fourth year it is the LVMH group that dominates the scene and conquers first place with its 75 fashion houses.
