Keep hypertension under control with chocolate!

According to a recent study, you can keep this disorder under control by eating chocolate, but it has to be dark and not more than 20 grams!
The Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra, in Portugal, issued a new research on hypertension. According to the experts, it is possible to lower its level by eating chocolate. However, there are two rules: it has to be dark chocolate and you just need 20 grams per day.
Researchers had already found out that this delicious food has a lot benefits for our health, but they did not know yet about its influence on hypertension. Let’s find out together everything you need to know about it!
Hypertension: get better with dark chocolate!
According to the new Portoguese research, you can now eat a piece of chocolate everyday to lower you hypertension levels. Cocoa contains alkaloids, which benefit our health. Moreover, this product has also great antioxidant powers, it boosts energies and is also an anti-depressant.

The research involved a sample of 30 volunteers, from 18 to 27 years old. There were two groups: one ate 20 grams per day of 55% dark chocolate, while the other 20 grams of 90% dark chocolate.
At the end of the study, experts found out that the blood pressure of the members of the group had lowered, especially for people who ate 90% dark chocolate. That’s not all: researchers found out that chocolate also help us to cure cough, other than making us happy and being beneficial for other problems.
Now we have a reason for eating small quantities of chocolate every day!
