Kitchen top: here’s how to disinfect it easily and with natural products

Disinfecting your kitchen counter is a fundamental process for maintaining a high level of hygiene in your home: let’s find out how to do it naturally.
The kitchen top is undoubtedly one of those areas of the house that must be disinfected daily . The reason? It is used regularly and germs and bacteria could transfer to the food we eat. It is therefore easy to understand how keeping this area clean is of paramount importance.
Unlike what one might think, disinfecting the kitchen counter at its best does not require the use of expensive products. Three natural products that are easy to find are enough, let’s go and discover them.
Disinfect the kitchen counter with vinegar

Maybe not everyone is aware of it, but apple cider vinegar is a great disinfectant. In particular, it works as an antiseptic and prevents the multiplication of bacteria.
To disinfect the kitchen top with vinegar, get a container with the sprayer and mix water and vinegar inside. The latter must represent one fifth of the total. After mixing properly , what is obtained can be used instead of the classic disinfectant sprays that can be purchased in supermarkets.
If you would like to increase the effectiveness completely, you can add a little lemon juice to the mixture.
The disinfectant power of essential oils
When it comes to natural disinfectants, essential oils are undoubtedly one of the best methods that can be used. Tea tree essential oil and eucalyptus essential oil are two valid alternatives to disinfect your kitchen counter. The first is undoubtedly one of the best natural antibacterial substances . The second, in addition to eliminating dirt and bacteria, releases a pleasant aroma in the air .
To prepare a good disinfectant with eucalyptus essence, just add 75ml of essential oil to every half liter of water. If you are using tea tree, add 6/7 drops of essence, always every half liter of water.
In case you decide to use tea tree oil, there is another version of the disinfectant, especially suitable for areas with a high concentration of germs and bacteria . This version, in which the ratio between water and essence remains the same, differs from the other for the addition of hydrogen peroxide (about 25 ml) and lemon juice (about 15 ml).
