Steamed meat ravioli are the most classic and traditional, which you can find on the market and in oriental cuisine restaurants . You can close them as you prefer, or as a bundle as we have shown you, or as a candy or crescent. In short, the shape is not relevant, the most important thing is that it is made in a workmanlike manner (rest assured, a little practice will be enough to acquire manual skills .

Then there is a variant, also very well known all over the world: steamed shrimp ravioli. To make them, all you have to do is replace the pork mince with high quality raw prawns and then proceed with the original recipe (just remember to chop the prawns with a knife before adding them to the rest of the sauce). We also advise you not to overdo it with the soy sauce, the crustacean has a much more delicate flavor than the pork, so it is good not to ruin it with too much sauce. Finally close the bundle ravioli and put it in cooking (an idea to emulate the Chinese ravioli the steam of the restaurants is to wrap the filling without closing it completely , add a pea in the center).

Finally, in some versions, the ravioli are made with a mixture of pork and shrimp pulp : a particular but appreciated combination.

The ravioli made and cooked following the original recipe can be stored in the refrigerator for about 1 day , inside a container with an airtight lid. Raw, if you have used fresh ingredients, you can freeze them separately in the freezer and then store them all in a frost bag. We advise you to cook them directly from frozen and, in this case, better opt for boiling .
