How to make the protein coffee smoothie recipe

  1. As mentioned in the introduction, the evening before prepare an espresso, once cool, transfer it in the fridge.
  2. Also the night before, peel the banana , cut it into slices and put it in the freezer.
  3. When you want to consume the coffee smoothie, combine the milk , even vegetable, banana , coffee , chia seeds , cocoa and sweetener in a jug blender.
  4. Blend until you get a classic smoothie, transfer to a glass and consume immediately.

Protein coffee smoothie: benefits

Each of the ingredients used to make the coffee protein shake brings benefits and nutrients. Coffee has antioxidant and diuretic properties and, if consumed in moderation, helps the functioning of the nervous system. Bananas are rich in potassium while chia seeds are one of the main plant sources of Omega 3 as well as calcium and vitamin C.

Bitter cocoa , not surprisingly defined as the food of the Gods, has antioxidant, antimicrobial and cardiovascular protection properties. The last ingredient, namely milk , is a major protein source. You can also choose it vegetable and in this case the soy drink and the oat drink are perfect due to the high protein content.

The sweetener is entirely optional and should be avoided. If you really can’t do without it, opt for natural ones such as honey, maple syrup or agave syrup, the classic sugars are not recommended.
