How to prepare the salmon nigiri recipe

  1. First, prepare the rice . Rinse it thoroughly under running water until it no longer leaves starch.
  2. Transfer it to a saucepan, cover it with water and let it cook with the lid on for about 15 minutes or until all the water has been absorbed. You never have to mix.
  3. Turn off and let the rice rest for 10 minutes with the lid on.
  4. Meanwhile, heat the vinegar , salt and sugar until they have dissolved well.
  5. Once the rice rest time has elapsed, add the sauce and mix. You can proceed with the preparation of the sushi nigiri as soon as it is cold.
  6. Now you can slice the smashed salmon with cuts perpendicular to the fibers. The ideal thickness is 3 mm.
  7. With wet hands, form elongated meatballs by pressing the rice well between your hands.
  8. Spread a layer of wasabi on each meatball and cover with a slice of salmon .
  9. Your salmon nigiri are ready to be served!

Salmon nigiri, like all sushi, is not suitable for preservation. Prepare it and consume it at the moment , leaving it in the refrigerator for up to half a day. However, remember to bring it back to room temperature before consuming it.
