Standard Time: Find out how it affects you

Solar time always has important effects on our health. Let’s find out what they are and what is the exact moment to move the hands back.
Like every year, the arrival of autumn also marks the famous movement of the hands. An important event that usually falls at the end of October. In this 2020 the time change takes place between the night of 24 and 25 October and will allow us to sleep an extra hour. The clocks will in fact be moved back one hour. A passage that usually comes into effect at two in the morning . Although we sleep more, however, the effects of solar time on our body are not always pleasant.
Standard time: the effects on health
As many will know, this step is not always painless. In fact, solar time has health effects that can sometimes make the next few days unpleasant.

Although it is only an hour, the balance of the day undergoes a sudden change that can lead to several problems, which are:
– Irritability
– Problems with appetite
– Migraine
– Insomnia
– Depression
– Lack of energy
– Jet leg effect
All problems that tend to resolve themselves within a few days but which in the most sensitive subjects can last a little longer making life more difficult.
How to avoid the effects of time changes
Fortunately, there are several strategies that can be implemented in order not to suffer too much from the change of time.
Starting a week earlier, for example, you can start to bring meal times and bedtime a few minutes a day.
At the same time, you can act on your diet by choosing foods that can stimulate serotonin . These include chocolate, bananas and spinach.
Finally, taking some time to relax can help. Allowing yourself half an hour a day in which to do physical activity, go for a walk or dedicate yourself to yoga or meditation, are in fact strategies that work and that can make a difference, especially to keep away from stress .
In case of more serious problems due to difficulties in falling asleep, you can opt for taking some supplement capable of acting on melatonin. In this case, it is always a good idea to ask your doctor for advice before doing so. Alternatively, you can use relaxing herbal teas to be taken after dinner.
