How to use coarse salt to clean

This product is one of the grandma’s old remedies to remove limescale from your flatiron. Mix a glass of white wine vinegar, half a glass of hot water and two tablespoons of coarse salt. Soak a microfiber cloth in it, then rub it directly on the cold flatiron with round movements. In this way you will remove every spot. Repeat until completely clean.

Coarse salt is also perfect to clean the cooktop and make it shine again. For a more accurate operation, we recommend to take it apart and soak all the pieces for 30 minutes in water and salt. Then, remove all the scaling with an abrasive sponge.

Other salt uses

Salt has always been a precious product to preserve food. In fact, it is an amazing natural preservative. If you have fresh vegetables, you can store them in a wooden or glass container, putting coarse salt between the layers. Let sit for a few days, until the salt absorbs the moisture and dehydrates your vegetables.

Moreover, you can create amazing dehumidifiers with this product. Take your shopping bags or some plastic bags and put coarse salt inside, then close them well. Then, make holes on the upper part of the bag, so it will breath.
