While it is usually advisable to eat white meat, during the winter our need for protein increases and we can therefore make an exception, indulging in a little more often than red meat . But don’t overdo it!
Always keeping to the need to consume more proteins, let’s not forget to include in our diet different portions of legumes , one of the best anti-cold foods. In particular, if consumed in the form of hot soup , they are a real boon against the small ailments caused by lowering temperatures.
Fish is one of the most important sources of omega 3, essential fatty acids for our body. Their anti-inflammatory power is renowned, making them a real resource to fight seasonal ailments. Among the vegetables , pumpkin , spinach, potatoes and cauliflower cannot be missing on our table.
Finally, a small sweet treat to end the meal: dark chocolate . Thanks to its magnesium intake, it is a panacea against various health problems. Not to mention its antidepressant effect , very useful for the long days of darkness and cold that await us in the winter.
