This food not only is good and tast, but it is also convenient. It’s cheap and easy to buy, and you can use it for many purposes! Other than being a healthy product, it is also very good for natural cosmetics. People has been using it since ancient times to cure and protect their skin and hair.
How to choose the right one
On the market there are hundreds of yogurts. Choosing the right one can be difficult. Sure enough, the best one is plain yogurt, without sugars or additives. Avoid pasteurized products or those with fruits, because they could irritate the skin.
Yogurt skin treatments
Let’s see in detail what you can do with this product:
Moisturizer for all skin types
A yogurt mask is perfect for all the skin types. Wash your face with lukewarm water, then dry dabbing with a towel. Then, spread the mask with your fingers, from forehead to neck. Let sit for 10 minutes, then rinse with hot water.
Moisturizer for dry skin
Mix 50ml of yogurt with a tablespoon of argan oil and one of avocado oil, then apply on your face. In order to see the results, repeat this treatment at least once a week.
Moisturizer for oily skin
In order to make this mask, you need a jar of yogurt, three drops of tea tree oil and three drops of lavender essential oil. Mix well and apply it on your face. Let sit for 20 minutes, then rinse gently with lukewarm water.
Remove dead cells and revitalize your skin by applying on your face a mixture of 2 tablespoons of yogurt and 1 of rice flour. Massage it gently for a few minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water.
You can use this product to protect your skin against the Sun. Add 10ml of aloe gel to 1 jar of yogurt. Mix well and put it in the fridge for 2 hours. Use this mask on burned or inflamed areas: let sit for about 30 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water. You can use it two or three times a day.
If your hands are reddened or cracked, try this mask. Mix 30ml of yogurt with 10ml of acacia honey and a few drops of lemon juice. Mix the ingredients, then apply on your hands. Let sit for 20 minutes, then rinse. Your hand will be hydrated and mosturized!
For a healthy skin, you just need a jar of yogurt. Remember to always have one in your fridge!
