How to fight bronchitis with natural remedies? From sage to marshmallow, passing through plantain: here are the most effective ones.
Are there any natural remedies to fight bronchitis? Sure, but be aware that not all of them are suitable for children. As for adults, from herbal medicines to essential oils, there are different solutions that come from mother nature and that can be assimilated to natural antibiotics .
Bronchitis: effective natural remedies
Rather frequent inflammation of the bronchi, bronchitis can be acute or chronic. Only a doctor can determine the severity of the clinical picture, but there are several remedies for bronchitis that come from mother nature. It should be noted that, in some cases, it is necessary to take drugs. Obviously, the doctor must advise them: do-it-yourself is forbidden. Having made this brief premise, let's see which are the most effective 100% natural solutions.
Treating bronchitis without an antibiotic is possible, of course, as long as there are no complications in between. First of all, it is recommended not to expose yourself to the cold, drink a lot, rest, do not smoke and use a humidifier for the rooms. The most useful plants for fighting inflammation are: sage, violet, pine, birch, plantain, marshmallow, mullein and primrose roots. These herbal remedies help to expel phlegm, improve breathing and calm coughs.
If you need a strong treatment , prepare an infusion based on: 30 g of mallow flowers, 35 g of pine, 25 g of licorice root and 10 g of mint leaves. When the water boils, let it rest for 20 minutes, then filter and consume still hot. This compound is considered a real natural antibiotic for bronchitis. Don't forget essential oils , too, which are valuable for inhalations. The most suitable are: tea tree, juniper, cypress, pine, thyme and lavender.
Bronchitis in children: natural remedies
The natural remedies mentioned above are suitable for adults, but not for children. For the little ones, inhalations based on hot water and bicarbonate may suffice. At most, fumigations with tea tree oil , one of the few oleolites that have no contraindications for children, are recommended. Valid for both adults and children, however, is the dear old hot milk with honey. Finally, only for those over 18 are effective: lemon and garlic infusion, onion juice, ginger tea or hot milk and turmeric.
