Anniversaries, events and fashion shows of an extremely rich edition: how and why to follow Milan Fashion Week 2023

Milan returns to one of its hottest appointments of the season to take on the role of global ambassador of contemporary style and beauty , as stated by Mayor Giuseppe Sala during the presentation press conference. Milan Fashion Week will present the autumn winter 2023-2024 collections from 21 to 27 February 2023 , focusing on the uniqueness of Italian style, the quality of Made in Italy and sustainability. However, there are some new features, such as the new Fashion Hub at Palazzo Giureconsulti, which will be officially inaugurated on February 21st by revealing the winner of The Best Shops Award . Inside there is space for emerging talents, a space for discussion, networking and a forge of ideas. Of course, the fashion shows of the great international names in fashion are expected, to be pinned in the diary.

There are 165 appointments that will animate this edition, including 54 physical fashion shows, 5 digital, 70 presentations by appointment and 29 events. Among the expected guests, Premier Giorgia Meloni should also be present, although the date and confirmation are yet to be discovered, while 120 international buyers will arrive in the city.

Appointments and anniversaries to mark in your diary and how to follow the fashion shows

The first edition of this February 2023, created with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ICE-Agenzia, will also be full of some important anniversaries, such as that of René Caovilla who celebrates the 50th anniversary of his iconic Cleo shoe , dedicating an ad hoc exhibition to her The art of making people dream. Among the big names expected to make their debut at MFW 2023 is Tomo Koizumi , supported by Dolce and Gabbana, Raxxy , a Chinese brand based in Milan that has chosen to create an event fashion show and the appointments made together with the Fashion Trust Grant 2022, from which Act N°1 benefited, Cormio and Vitelli . Among the digital fashion shows with an international flavor, keep an eye out for Budapest Select , a collective that presents 4 new Hungarian brands.

It will be possible to follow the fashion shows on the platform specially created by the Chamber of Fashion, so as to allow even non-professional fashion addicts to follow all the appointments live. As usual, Fashion Week has become much smarter and cheaper, since almost all brands broadcast the fashion shows live on Instagram. Urban Vision, on the other hand, will be the streaming platform which, together with Samsung, will place a screen in Piazza Duomo so as to make the event usable by everyone at any time. The LuisaViaRoma styling suit will be open to the public in the spaces of the Fashion Hub which, together with VIPs and influencers, will present fashion week-style looks.
