Discover the transformative journey for caregivers: free workshops in Ferrara!

The city of Ferrara hosts a series of nine free workshops dedicated to caregivers, offering techniques for physical and mental well-being.
In Ferrara, from March 26 to June 4, 2025, an important initiative will take place aimed at supporting caregivers through a series of nine free workshops. This project, titled “Prendiamoci cura di chi cura” (“Let’s Take Care of Those Who Care”), is designed to provide caregivers with valuable techniques for enhancing their physical and mental well-being. Organized by the Kairos Association and Giulia Association, with backing from the Ferrara Municipality’s Department of Social Health Policies, the initiative seeks to alleviate the emotional burden often associated with caregiving roles. The workshops not only offer practical strategies for emotional management but also foster a sense of community and support among participants.
Support and socialization opportunities for caregivers
The initiative aims to create a supportive environment for caregivers, addressing the isolation that often accompanies their responsibilities. These workshops will offer participants a chance to share their experiences and learn practical skills to improve emotional management and overall well-being. By encouraging socialization and support, the program seeks to build a community where caregivers can connect and find solace in shared experiences.
Project launch and collaboration
The project was officially introduced at a press conference held at the municipal residence in Ferrara. During the event, Cristina Coletti, the Ferrara Municipality’s Social Health Policies Assessor, highlighted the project’s significance alongside Elisabetta Zerbini, the president of the Kairos Association, and volunteers from the Giulia Association. Coletti emphasized the fruitful collaboration between the two associations and the project’s potential to positively impact caregivers’ lives. The involvement of qualified professionals ensures that participants receive adequate support, empowering caregivers to better manage their emotions and improve their quality of life.
Topics and techniques covered in the workshops
Elisabetta Zerbini explained that the workshops would feature experts from various disciplines, providing insights into the resources available within the social health network and legal protections for caregivers. Topics covered will include emotional management, gentle methods for mental well-being, nutritional balance, and legal protections. Franca Navarra added that participants would have the opportunity to explore various techniques such as autogenic training, yoga, mindfulness, and the ancient Japanese practice of reiki, which Navarra will personally guide, illustrating its benefits for energy rebalancing.

The workshops will be held at the CSV Terre Estensi, located at Via Ravenna, 52, from 8 PM to 10 PM.
