What is the generic of Travocort? Let's see what this medicine is for and what is the price of the original and the equivalent.
Generic Travocort is a topical medicine that should only be used with a doctor's prescription. Let's see what it is for, what the active ingredients are and if there are any side effects and contraindications to keep in mind.
Generic Travocort: what is it used for?
Generic Travocort, as well as the original, is a drug that is prescribed for the treatment of dermatomycoses with dermatophytes, fungi and yeasts sensitive to icomazole. The ointment is also indicated when dermatomycoses are characterized by severe inflammation or eczema . There are two active ingredients: isoconazole nitrate and diflucortolone valerate . The latter is a corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory, antipruritic and vasoconstrictive action.
Generally, Generic Travocort, whose name is the same as the active ingredient, is used twice a day by applying a fair amount of cream to the infected area. The symptoms should disappear within a few days but, considering the presence of cortisone, the use of the drug should not be continued for more than a week. It should therefore be stressed that the medicine should only be taken on the advice of a doctor, after a careful visit.
