What are the causes of mental fatigue? They are different, as are the symptoms that are easily identifiable: let's find out the cure.
Mental fatigue can affect everyone, young and old. It can be generated by study, work or interpersonal relationships . Recognizing it right away is very useful, also because simple precautions are enough, if we can call them that, to regain lost serenity. Let's see what are the causes, symptoms and treatment.
Mental fatigue: causes and symptoms
Feeling mental and physical fatigue can happen to everyone, especially when you are experiencing particularly stressful times. It may happen, for example, that one morning like many others it is really difficult to get out of bed, as if we were influenced. Still, there is no trace of the fever. Excessive sleep and weakness, however, seem to leave no way out. In addition, there is also a certain psychic exhaustion, as if the energies were completely exhausted even in the mind. In other words, there is a desire to commit to something, but they seem to lack the physical and mental strengths to do so. It should be noted that psychological fatigue can occur both occasionally and often. The timing, as well as the cure, depends above all on the triggering cause . The main symptoms that are felt are:
- migraines and circle in the head;
- acceleration of the heartbeat;
- muscle aches;
- lack of clarity and problems with memory, judgment and reasoning skills;
- lack of energy and exhaustion;
- anger and irritability;
- anxiety and stress;
- emotional sensitivity;
- poor appetite or nervous hunger, nausea and abdominal cramps;
- insomnia.
As already pointed out, there is no cure if you don't understand the reason that caused mental fatigue . In most cases, you are going through a stressful time and your body is just asking for a respite. There are, then, some conditions that can contribute to triggering the problem:
- overweight or excessive thinness due to improper nutrition or diseases;
- drug treatments for diabetes, anemia, hyperthyroidism;
- reduced exercise;
- heart or kidney failure;
- hypothyroidism;
- use of sedatives, tranquilizers, antidepressants, laxatives;
- pregnancy and breastfeeding.
