Puccini cocktails
The Puccini cocktail is prepared with just two ingredients and is excellent to make at home as a winter aperitif.
Puccini stands out for its citrus flavor and its effervescence . Mandarin juice, with its sweetness and acidity, pairs perfectly with sparkling wine, creating a perfect balance. The result is a light and thirst-quenching cocktail, ideal as an aperitif.
If you want to suggest it to friends and colleagues, don't be afraid, you will prepare it in an instant and without effort.
How to prepare the Puccini cocktail recipe
- First, squeeze the mandarins and filter the juice to remove the seeds.
- Then pour the mandarin juice into the glass.
- Gently add the sparkling wine , sliding it along the edge of the glass to avoid shaking the cocktail.
- If you like, add a few ice cubes and finish by decorating the edge of the glass with a slice of mandarin.
For a more intense taste, use homemade mandarin juice. Alternatively, opt for one packaged without added sugar. We then recommend using a flute glass to serve your delicious cocktail.
Puccini Cocktail: the history
The Puccini cocktail is a tribute to the well-known composer Giacomo Puccini. It was born in Venice in the mid-twentieth century and is inspired by the famous Bellini and Rossini cocktails, replacing the peach or strawberries with mandarin juice . It seems to owe its origins to the same barman at Harry's Bar, a certain Giuseppe Cipriani.
Conservation
Prepare and enjoy the Puccini at the moment to ensure that it does not lose the sparkling note given by the sparkling wine.
