Salted caramel ice cream is a quick and easy dessert to make at home, with a very special taste.

How about making some homemade salted caramel ice cream? It is a very particular and refined flavour, if you haven't already done so you absolutely must try it. With this recipe it is very simple to prepare it at home, with your hands, and enjoy it whenever you prefer. For the end of a lunch or a refreshing snack, this ice cream is prepared with just a few ingredients. The starting base is made with only condensed milk, liquid cream and salted caramel, which you can prepare yourself ; therefore, it is much lighter to make without eggs. In short, the result will be so good that you won't be able to resist it!

Preparing the recipe for salted caramel ice cream

  1. Start by making the salted caramel. Cut the butter into pieces and place it in a bowl adding the salt.
  2. Place the granulated sugar in a saucepan.
  3. Place it over medium-low heat and let it melt, stirring often with a spatula; be careful not to let it burn.
  4. When the sugar turns amber, turn off.
  5. At the same time, pour 100 ml of cream into another saucepan and heat it.
  6. Pour the cream ( in batches ) over the sugar, mixing with the spatula.
  7. Once done, add the salted butter and mix to obtain a smooth and homogeneous mixture.
  8. Move on to the ice cream mixture. Take 400 ml of cold cream from the fridge and pour it into a bowl; Whip it until stiff.
  9. Add the condensed milk and about 100 g of the salted caramel you previously prepared.
  10. Stir to combine everything. Place the mixture in a container suitable for freezing, cover with cling film and place in the freezer for 6-7 hours .
  11. Once finished, mix the ice cream and it will be ready to serve. You can decorate it with the rest of the salted caramel and chopped peanuts.

Salted caramel ice cream is suitable for all caramel lovers, but it is so good that it will conquer everyone else too. You can store it in the freezer for a maximum of 1 week , in an airtight container.
