Quince jam with the Thermomix

Quince jam with the Thermomix

How to make quince jam with the Thermomix, perfect for tarts but also to combine with meat. Here's the recipe!

Quinces are one of the typical fruits of autumn . Worthy companions of pumpkin, chestnuts and persimmons, they are generally used in the preparation of delicious jellies or jams. The jam, also known as quince jelly, can be used to fill tarts, fruit pies or other desserts. Below we explain how to prepare quince jam with Bimby, one of the most used appliances in the kitchen .

Generally it is preferable to boil whole quinces before use, since unlike pears or classic apples, quince has a rather hard pulp that is difficult to cut. This particular variety is very rich in pectin, which is why quinces can be used in the preparation of other jams as a thickener. This recipe can be prepared with all Bimby models (TM5, TM6 and TM31) and with similarly functioning food processors such as the Monsieur Cuisine.
