Always very popular, the apple diet allows you to lose weight quickly . Before going into the details of this regimen, it should be emphasized that any dietary changes must be agreed with the doctor. Do-it-yourself, in most cases, does not allow you to achieve lasting results and, above all, can cause damage to the entire body. Having clarified this, let's see how the apple diet works. Considered the dietary fruit par excellence, given that 100 grams provide only 54 Kcal, it is a food that is very good for you. Not surprisingly, an old popular saying goes: " An apple a day keeps the doctor away ".

Usually, this diet is followed only for five days , which decrease to three for the bravest people. It is a purifying diet, which detoxifies the body and counteracts water retention. Basically, if you follow the strong method you only eat apples and drink a lot of water, at least two liters a day. If desired, the water can be replaced with other liquids such as tea, provided they are not sugary. In the five-day regimen, on the other hand, both the fruit and other low-calorie foods are consumed, such as low- fat yogurt , skimmed milk, salad, lean meat and fish.

The less drastic apple diet allows you to lose 1 kg in 3 days, but if you eat only the fruit you can also lose 3/4 kilos. A typical menu of this diet includes:

  • first day: two apples for breakfast, one for lunch and three for dinner, with unlimited liquids, never less than 2 litres;
  • second day: breakfast with an apple and a glass of skimmed or vegetable milk, lunch salad of apples and other vegetables dressed with a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil, dinner with two apples. Liquids at will, never less than 2 litres;
  • third day: breakfast with an apple and a slice of wholemeal bread with scrambled eggs or turkey breast, lunch with a salad of apples and other vegetables dressed with a teaspoon of olive oil, snack with low-fat yogurt, dinner with lean meat or fish, salad and an apple or lentil soup and an apple. Liquids at will, never less than 2 litres;
  • day four: breakfast with an apple smoothie and unsweetened green tea, lunch with vegetable soup and an apple, snack with an orange, and dinner with a salad and an apple. Also on this day do not forget at least two liters of water.
  • fifth day: breakfast with a boiled egg and an apple, lunch with grilled vegetables and an apple, snack with five almonds, dinner with grilled fish or meat, cooked vegetables and an apple.

At the end of the diet, remember to resume eating normally a little at a time. The reintroduction of foods must be gradual .
