Baked sea bream with potatoes and cherry tomatoes

Baked sea bream with potatoes and cherry tomatoes: a simple and perfect baked fish second course for all occasions.

You are looking for a fish-based recipe that is simple to prepare. The recipe for baked sea bream with potatoes and cherry tomatoes is perfect for when you want to cook fish but don't want to spend too much time in the kitchen. Sea bream, which can also be replaced with sea bass, turbot or sole , has white, lean and tender meat.

Among the most popular and rather economical fish, it is usually found farmed but our advice, if possible, is to buy a catch that is certainly tastier and with firmer meat. Then keep in mind that the weight of the fish still to be cleaned will be halved once all the operations have been completed. Adjust yourself based on this when you go to buy it.

How to prepare the recipe for baked sea bream with potatoes and cherry tomatoes

  1. First, start by cleaning the sea bream : remove the innards and scales, then wash them under cold running water. Pat them dry with absorbent paper to dry them well.
  2. Wash and chop the parsley (you can also add some garlic if you want) and use part of it to flavor the inside of the sea bream together with salt and pepper . Also add a couple of lemon slices.
  3. As for the potatoes , if you want to cook them directly in the oven together with the fish, peel them and cut them into very thin slices (max 2 mm). Vice versa, cut them into 2 cm pieces and blanch them in salted water for 15 minutes before transferring them to the pan. This is because the cooking times of the two ingredients would be too different.
  4. Line the baking tray with baking paper and place the two sea bream. Distribute the potatoes and cherry tomatoes cut in half all around. Season the fish with the remaining chopped parsley and distribute a round of oil, salt and pepper over all the ingredients.
  5. Cook at 200°C for 25-30 minutes then let cool and serve.
