Biscuits without butter and eggs
Biscuits without butter and eggs are simple to prepare, light and tasty. Here is our recipe to have them crumbly like the traditional ones.
Homemade biscuits are perfect for dipping in milk or tea , or enjoying with coffee . What is certain is that they often have a lot of calories and are not exactly ideal if you have to pay attention to your figure. This is why today we want to offer you biscuits without butter and eggs, light and crumbly like traditional ones.
In fact, who said that biscuits without eggs and without butter necessarily have to be tasteless? All it takes is a few precautions, such as adding an aroma , to make them truly amazing. Curious to find out how we prepared them?
Preparation
How to prepare the biscuit recipe without butter and eggs
To prepare them, start by placing the sifted flour with the yeast , the lemon zest (or vanilla in the form you prefer – vanillin, seeds or extract) and the sugar in a bowl and mix quickly.
Then add the oil and mix everything together to obtain a sandy mixture. Then add the milk and finish mixing by hand.
Once you have obtained a homogeneous dough, without having to let it rest in the refrigerator, roll it out between two sheets of baking paper. We advise you not to exceed the thickness because they will tend to increase during cooking: half a centimeter is perfect.
Cut out the biscuits using your favorite molds and, as they are ready, place them on the baking tray covered with baking paper, spacing them slightly apart. Cook the biscuits without eggs and butter at 180°C for 15 minutes then take them out of the oven and let them cool completely.
Here is a video of a recipe similar to ours with all the steps to make them. We gave it a heart shape but clearly you can choose whatever you prefer, even a simple glass.
Light biscuits without butter and eggs can also be prepared in a vegan way by simply replacing cow's milk with a vegetable drink. Try them for example with almond milk and you will be pleasantly surprised by their flavour. Alternatively, water is also fine.
Furthermore, as mentioned in the preparation, you can replace the lemon flavoring with others of your choice such as orange, almond or vanilla or, why not, enrich the mixture with some chocolate chips .

Conservation
Like all biscuits, these too can be stored in a tin box for up to a week. Alternatively, a plastic bag will also work fine.
