Have you ever tried the Blue Lagoon cocktail (also called Blue Lagoon cocktail, Italian style)? It is a blue drink, based on vodka and the legendary blue curaçao and, probably, it was this drink that inspired the creation of another blue and entirely Italian cocktail: the Blue Angel.

You haven't really gone off topic, in fact some believe that it was this cinema cult that gave its name to the Blue Lagoon cocktail. How to prepare the blue lagoon cocktail

To make this classic you only need 4 ingredients and no shaker. So get yourself a mixing glass and a long-handled teaspoon (barspoon) and transform yourself into an expert bartender.

1. Start by squeezing the lemon juice and filtering it.
2. Fill a tall, narrow glass with ice then pour in the sugar syrup, lemon juice, blue curaçao and finally the vodka.
3. Mix so that the color becomes homogeneous and serve, decorating with a slice of lemon (or lime).

This is a very respectable cocktail, with an alcohol content of 14% vol. To make it more delicate in taste you can make a sugar crust : moisten the edge of the glass and press it into the sugar so that it sticks.

It often happens that lemon juice is replaced with a fizzy lemon drink such as soda or soda. In this case it is necessary to revisit the proportions of the blue lagoon recipe in this way: 3 parts vodka, 4 parts soda and 3 parts blue curaçao.

The history of the Blue Lagoon drink is a bit troubled and began in the early 1980s at Harry's New York Bar in Paris .
