Blueberry jam is one of the most loved preserves, appreciated for its sweet and slightly acidic flavor which contains all the scent of the forest. Perfect with biscuits for breakfast , to enrich desserts or accompany cheeses, this jam is a true concentrate of flavor and nutrients.
Blueberries, small fruits rich in antioxidants, vitamins and fibre, make this jam not only delicious, but also a precious ally for well-being . Easy to prepare, blueberry jam preserves the taste of summer all year round, bringing a touch of natural and genuine sweetness to the table.
How to prepare blueberry jam recipe
- Start by washing the blueberries under cold water, drain them well then transfer them to a large, thick-bottomed pan with the sugar , grated zest and lemon juice. Cover and let rest for an hour.
- Place the pan on the heat, bring to the boil and cook for about 40 minutes . If you like, you can blend everything with an immersion blender. To check if the blueberry jam is cooked, do the classic saucer test : place a teaspoon of jam on a saucer. If the jam doesn't slide off quickly when you tilt the plate, the jam is ready.
- Transfer the jam into sterilized glass jars , close with a new lid and turn upside down. Let it cool completely until the vacuum has formed before placing it in the pantry.

Conservation
We recommend storing the jars hermetically sealed in a cool, dry place for several months . Once opened, however, you must store the jars in the fridge and consume them within 1 week .
