Preparing chocolate cake in a pan is very simple and represents an excellent alternative when looking for desserts without an oven.

Did you know that cakes can be cooked in a pan? After discovering it, we prepared all kinds and the one that won us over the most is the pan-fried chocolate cake. It goes without saying that this type of preparation is perfect for the summer because it does not require an oven but is also useful on all those occasions where the oven is not available: beach house, camping, second home .

The preparation is very simple and, as regards the dough, it does not differ from the more classic recipes. In fact, it will be sufficient to mix all the ingredients in a bowl with a whisk and then pour everything into the pan. Here you need to be careful: choose a 24-26 cm diameter non-stick pan with a thick bottom and butter it carefully. Only in this way will you be sure of obtaining perfect cooking.

How to prepare the pan chocolate cake recipe

  1. First, break the eggs into a bowl. Add the sugar and whisk for 1 minute.
  2. Add the milk and oil and mix everything well. Finally, add the sifted flour with the baking powder and bitter cocoa.
  3. Thoroughly butter a 24-26 cm diameter non-stick pan and pour in the mixture. Cover with the lid and cook for 40 minutes on a low heat, choosing one of the medium-sized burners . After 30 minutes, lift the lid and do the toothpick test. The pan-fried chocolate cake is ready when it starts to come away from the edges and the surface has set.
  4. Once ready, carefully invert it onto a plate, let it cool and serve, decorating as desired with a sprinkling of icing sugar.

This dessert is simple to customize. You can flavor the dough with orange zest or enrich it with 2 tablespoons of chocolate chips or chopped hazelnuts .
