Perfect for a snack for little ones: chocolate kiwis on a stick are simple to prepare with just two ingredients. Here's how!

Kiwis are the protagonists of the cold season . Thanks to the vitamins, especially Vitamin C, and the mineral salts they contain, they prove to be a real ally in fighting seasonal ailments. Often, however, getting little ones to eat fruit can be complicated and for this reason chocolate kiwis come to the rescue.

The idea is quite simple and consists in obtaining slices from the kiwi thick enough to be skewered on oneself. We then proceed to melt the dark chocolate in a bain-marie and create a thin covering. This way you will create a healthy snack perfect for afternoon tea.

How to prepare the chocolate covered kiwis recipe

First, peel the kiwi and cut into slices about one centimeter thick. I advise you to choose rather large fruits, ripe so as to be sweet but at the same time not too soft or you won't be able to skewer them.

Now get some sticks like those for ice cream or other wooden sticks usually used for serving aperitifs and skewer the kiwi slice.

Separately, melt the dark chocolate in a bain-marie which must be of excellent quality. If the operation proves difficult, add a drop of milk: it will also make everything more fluid, facilitating the subsequent operation.

Transfer the melted chocolate into a narrow, tall container such as a cup and dip half of the kiwi slices into it.

Then transfer them to a plate covered with a sheet of baking paper and place in the refrigerator until the chocolate has dried, forming a covering layer.

Before placing the chocolate kiwis in the refrigerator you can also add coconut flakes, chopped dried fruit or sprinkles to the surface .

Conservation

Chocolate kiwis can be kept in the refrigerator for 2 days . However, we advise you, once solidified, to transfer them to an airtight container.
