Who would have imagined that preparing a dessert without eggs or butter would be so simple? The cocoa water cake is a very simple recipe to make. It falls into the category of vegan desserts and to prepare it you will only need a few ingredients, a bowl and electric whisks. Let's see how to prepare this light cake!
How to prepare cocoa water cake
- Place the water and sugar in a bowl. Work the mixture until the sugar has dissolved, then add the oil and 1 pinch of salt.
- Now add the sifted flour with the baking powder, vanilla and cocoa . It is very important that the latter is well sifted or lumps will form. Mix with the help of an electric whisk to incorporate air and make the dough swell.
- At this stage, you can decide whether to add some aromas . We will prepare it in the basic version, but you can flavor it with cinnamon or orange zest if you like.
- Pour the mixture into a springform pan with a diameter of 18-20 cm lined with baking paper or sprayed with the appropriate remover. Cook the chocolate cake without butter at 180°C for 40 minutes .
- Let it cool before serving, finishing with icing sugar if desired.

Store the cocoa water cake under a glass bell jar, at room temperature, for about 4 days .
