Preparation of melon sorbet with the Thermomix

  1. To prepare quick melon sorbet with the Thermomix, take fresh melon (Cantaloupe is excellent), clean it by removing the seeds and peel so as to obtain the quantity necessary for this recipe.
  2. Place the melon pulp together with the lemon juice directly into the Thermomix jug and blend for 20 seconds. speed 5 .
  3. Transfer the blended pulp into a container then move on to preparing the syrup based on water and sugar: place these other two ingredients in the Thermomix jug without washing it and cook for 3 minutes. 100°C speed 5.
  4. Let the syrup cool then pour the blended melon pulp back into the Thermomix jug. Work 20 sec. speed 3.
  5. Transfer the mixture thus obtained into a container suitable for placing in the freezer or in molds to form ice cubes . Place in the freezer for at least 4 hours.
  6. Before serving, transfer the now frozen mixture to the Thermomix jug and process for 20 seconds. speed 7 and then another 20 sec. speed 5 . If necessary, you can continue blending for another 10 seconds. Distribute the sorbet into single-portion cups and enjoy immediately!
