Delicious potato bites with crispy bacon
Potato bites: the recipe for delicious, special and different appetizers!
The potato bites with the addition of crispy bacon are a very tasty and delicious finger food, perfect to serve before a family dinner or for an aperitif with friends. These delicious appetizers are prepared with a mix of mashed potatoes and mozzarella cubes; cooking in the oven makes them nice and golden and crunchy. Now we'll explain how to prepare them!
Preparing crispy potato bites
- Wash the potatoes to remove any soil residues then boil them in a pan of boiling salted water.
- Once cooked, drain the potatoes, peel them and mash them with the help of the appropriate tool.
- Pour the mashed potatoes into a bowl then add the butter at room temperature , the grated parmesan, salt and pepper.
- Mix all the ingredients so that they blend together.
- Take a small part of the dough, flatten with your hands and place a cube of mozzarella in the center. Close forming a morsel and pass it in the breadcrumbs. Continue in this way until you run out of ingredients.
- Place the breaded morsels on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 15 minutes . In the meantime, toast the bacon slices in a small pan to make them slightly crunchy.
- Once the morsels have finished cooking, fix a little toasted bacon on each one using a toothpick and serve hot. Enjoy your meal!

storage
We advise you to keep the potato bites in the fridge in a special, tightly closed container for 2/3 days. Heat them in a pan or in the microwave before enjoying them.
