As you have surely noticed by taking a stroll around the shops or simply scrolling through your Instagram feed, flare jeans, better known as “flared” jeans , are back in fashion.
Apparently flared jeans are more difficult to wear than classic skinny jeans, but in reality this is not the case: just choose the right model and match it correctly to enhance the curves. Let's see who these jeans look good on and how to wear them.
Flare jeans, who are they good for?
Flared jeans look good on everyone , but you have to choose the right model. If you have wide hips and full thighs, choose a model that is wide above the knee, not too snug, almost palace-like. If, on the other hand, you have thin legs, opt for a model that is very tight on the thighs and flared from the knee down.
If you are not very tall, then, we advise you to wear high-waisted models , which make your legs look much longer. In any case, pay attention to the length : the hem must touch the floor, but without ending up under the shoes. Flare jeans that are too short, in fact, optically shorten the legs, while too long ones give the outfit a sloppy and unkempt look.
How to wear flare jeans
Flare jeans should always be worn with heels , no matter if thick or thin. Absolutely avoid flat shoes of any kind, even if you are tall. The heel will not only make you look slimmer, but will prevent unsightly creases from forming on the lower part of the jeans.
The ideal is to wear pointy shoes, so that they protrude from the hem of the trousers.
As for the sweaters, if you want to highlight the waistline, we recommend wearing soft t-shirts or blouses , to be tucked into high-waisted trousers. If, on the other hand, your waistline is not very pronounced, opt for straight and slightly wide sweaters, which fall softly on the hips.
