Preparing savory corn crepes is really simple . In addition to being completely gluten-free, the crepes prepared following this recipe are also egg-free and lactose-free, therefore also perfect for those who follow a vegan diet or simply for those who are intolerant to these foods.
To prepare a delicious crepe, all you need is a little water and a variety of flour, in this case gluten-free, such as corn flour. Here are all the preparation steps!
Preparation of crepes with gluten-free corn flour
- First of all, sift the corn flour into a large bowl, add the bicarbonate of soda, salt and two tablespoons of olive oil. Start pouring in the water slowly and mix continuously with a whisk to obtain a liquid batter.
- Take a non-stick pan, brush the bottom with a little olive oil, place on the heat and pour a ladle of batter into it. Rotate the pan to distribute the batter on the bottom.
- Cover with the lid and cook for a few moments before turning the crepe to the other side to complete cooking.
- Continue in this way until you run out of batter, gradually place the cooked crepes on a plate and serve, topping as you like with cheeses, cold cuts, cooked or raw vegetables.
