Gratin cauliflower in the air fryer

Our beloved appliance is perfect for making this type of dish because thanks to the fan it simulates cooking in a convection oven . The result is a perfect gratin , difficult to obtain in other ways.
We opted for a simple recipe combining breadcrumbs, grated cheese and oil but we will also give you some indications to make everything tastier and creamier. Basically you will need to have cooked cauliflower , even previously, and the few ingredients indicated. Let's see all the steps together.
How to prepare the cauliflower gratin recipe in the air fryer
- First clean the cauliflower by removing the leaves and core which you can use in the minestrone. Then remove the florets and wash them under running water.
- Boil the cauliflower for 10 minutes (or steam it), keeping it fairly al dente.
- Once ready, let it cool before transferring it to a baking tray of the right size for your air fryer. Season with a drizzle of oil and salt and mix.
- Mix the parmesan and breadcrumbs together and spread it over the surface (you can flavor it with fresh or dried aromatic herbs or spices if you like). Complete with a few puffs of spray oil .
- Cook at 180°C for 10-15 minutes, taking care that it does not burn. Then serve hot.
You can also prepare the richest and tastiest cauliflower au gratin with bechamel in the air fryer. In this case, follow our recipe by halving the doses. Once the cauliflower has been blanched, add it to the béchamel and place it in a pan, completing with parmesan and breadcrumbs. In this case, however, cook for 15 minutes at 180°C.
Of course, you can also prepare baked cauliflower au gratin , which is equally excellent.
Conservation
Gratin cauliflower cooked in an air fryer is an excellent side dish that is quick and easy to make, suitable for accompanying a variety of dishes, especially meat-based ones. You can keep it in the fridge for 2 days , closed in an airtight container. Reheat it if necessary.
